HOMESAFE Inala is a new initiative to provide Domestic Violence services to families in the greater Inala/Goodna area.
The Domestic Violence Resource Centre (DVRC) has received funding from Department of Communities and Community Renewal to work in conjunction with Mission Australia Referral Active Intervention (RAI) Inala Service, to improve the safety and wellbeing of vulnerable children and their families.
The specific objectives are to improve outcomes for vulnerable children and their families by the development of an ancillary service to support families who are experiencing domestic violence. This will prevent and minimise their progression into the child protection system.
The target group will be vulnerable children and their families in the Inala and Goodna area, with a priority to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families. Primarily, referrals will come from Mission Australia RAI Inala Service and from the Department of Child Safety.
